  1. Oh boy, a lot of good stuff coming out, i gotta work some extra hours to buy some of these! :)

  2. Yep, very good slate of releases coming up, especially this month.

  3. I was just thinking , it’s been a while since a Gaither Homecoming project came out, any news of a new one on the horizon?

  4. The Oak Ridge Boys also have an upcoming release on the 30th of this month, 40th Anniversary. I’m guessing you already know. I’ve not seen the track listing but I’m guessing it’ll have some southern gospel since Gaither has it on pre-sale on his site, perhaps it is newworthy enough and of enough interest to include here?

    • No, I hadn’t heard about it; also, I only list all-Gospel releases.

      • Then why is Wayne Haun’s album of love songs listed?

Not trying to cause a fight, it just seems the ORB are just as deserving of a mention as Wayne. I can’t say I prefer one over the other, just wondering where the distinction is made.

      • Good point; I probably shouldn’t have listed that one. It did strike me as newsworthy in a way that an ORB compilation(?) doesn’t, but still, I probably shouldn’t have listed it.

      • (But do note that even its inclusion was with a disclaimer!)

      • Here’s the track-list for the ORB album. (from the Gaither website)

        1. Leaving Louisiana In The Broad Daylight
        2. Elvira
        3. An American Family
        4. Thank God For Kids
        5. Amazing Grace
        6. I Know
        7. God Will Take Care Of You
        8. American Made
        9. Jesus Is Coming Soon
        10. G.I. Joe & Lillie
        11. How Great Thou Art
        12. The Star-Spangled Banner

  5. The Browns’ debut on StowTown Records – Love Loud – releases August 27th as well.

    • I knew that, but I had been asked to hold off announcing it until the press release came out.

(Just so everyone knows that I wasn’t leaving the release out because I thought it wasn’t significant!)

      • Considering it’s on Provident’s website – it’s not much of a secret now…

      • Agreed.

  6. Steve Ladd has _On My Own_ coming out soon, but I’m not sure of the exact release date. It’s still a pre-order on his website.

    • Thanks! If a release date surfaces, I’ll happily add it.

  7. “Rise Up, Rejoice! Live!” Good News Music Radio with Woody Wright DVD/CD – featuring Russ Taff, Buddy Greene and Jeff Taylor, Jeff and Sheri Easter, Palmetto State Quartet, Woody and Vonnie Wright, Rachel West Kramer, Jairo Arvizu and the Good News Music Radio Band. Released July 1. Available at http://www.woodywright.net and http://www.goodnewsmusicradio.com and other fine outlets.
